If you’ve had your invitation to attend a smear test, but can’t get to your GP practice during the week, Canvey Island PCN holds cervical screening clinics on Saturdays.
Patients registered at any of the six practices on Canvey can book an appointment with a nurse at one of our clinics, which take place on the first floor at the Canvey Primary Care Centre.

Cervical screening (smear test)
Cervical screening is a free health test available on the NHS as part of the national cervical screening programme. It helps prevent cervical cancer by checking for a virus called high-risk HPV and cervical cell changes. It is not a test for cancer.
